This week, we’re delighted to have one of our treatment practitioners, Nicoletta, taking over the blog. Having been part of The Good Rooms for the past six years, Nicoletta has supported many of our community through her thoughtful and holistic approach to acupuncture. She shares more about her work, her practice, and what happens behind the doors of the treatment room downstairs.
Modern life gives many of us fewer opportunities to move naturally throughout the day. Between work, commuting, and busy schedules, it can be difficult to find consistent ways to build strength and maintain mobility. Weighted movement offers a simple and sustainable way to reconnect with that side of physical health.
World Meditation Day (21 May) is a global observance that highlights the powerful benefits of meditation for mental, emotional, and physical well-being. It encourages people around the world to slow down, become more present, and take time to reconnect with themselves through mindfulness and stillness.
11–17 May is Mental Health Awareness Week, a moment to reflect on how we care for ourselves and each other. This year’s theme of “action” is a timely reminder that mental well-being isn’t only about managing stress when it shows up – it’s also shaped by the everyday habits, environments, and small moments that help us feel more grounded, connected, and supported.
Pilates classes at the good rooms have been designed around heat, control, and intelligent strength. Our approach blends traditional Pilates principles with a dynamic edge: a heated studio environment and the incorporation of weights. It’s where focused movement meets intensity.
In a city that rarely slows down, routines can easily and quickly become reactive – commuting, screens, deadlines, repeat. We know that for many people in London, the challenge isn’t finding fitness options, but finding something that properly resets both body and mind.
As the days grow longer and the first signs of spring emerge, there’s a natural pull to refresh, reset, and realign. Spring is a season of renewal – a chance to shake off the heaviness of winter and step into a lighter, brighter version of yourself.
Spring is the perfect time to refresh your routine and build momentum in your practice. Our 15- and 30-Day Challenge is here to help you stay consistent, feel stronger, and make time for movement.
If you’ve ever walked into a heated studio for the first time, you’ve probably noticed the difference right away. The warmth settles in quickly, your muscles loosen sooner, and before long you’re moving with a mix of strength and ease that feels both effective and restorative.
