We are thrilled to announce that we moved to Mariana Tek as our studio booking software platform on Thursday 13 July. The new platform improves the way you use the class schedule, making it easier to book into classes, purchase items ahead of any class and keep everything in order.

On this page we answer your most frequently asked questions about the migration. If you have any queries that are not covered here, or you need any assistance, please get in touch with The Good Rooms reception team.

why has The Good Rooms migrated to Mariana Tek?

We have moved to Mariana Tek to make your experience better. Bookings, payments and checking into classes are smoother and simpler. The new studio App is more reliable. Mariana Tek provides modern software created specifically for boutique fitness studios such as ours, so everything is optimised to make your experience better.

what do I need to do?

If you have not already, there are a few small things we will ask you to do:

  1. Download our NEW mobile app:
    – iOS: Apple Store URL (announced on 13 July)
    – Android: Google Play Store URL (announced on 13 July)
  2. Reset your password, either at thegoodrooms.co.uk or by using the new mobile app
  3. Confirm your personal details and payment information are accurate (let us know if they are not)
  4. That’s it!

what happens if I have a 14 Day Pass, 30 Day Pass, 365 Day Pass or 15 Day Intro Offer?

If you have any active pass such as a 14 Day Pass, 30 Day Pass, 365 Day Pass or 15 Day Intro Offer, your pass will migrate over with the correct number of days remaining. Your pass will expire on the scheduled expiration date.

The new system requires anyone with any of these passes to have a bank card stored on the system. If you do not already have a bank card stored on our system, we will prompt you to add a bank card when you log in after 13 July.

After 13 July, you can still be freeze a 365 Day Pass for up to 30 days, three times in a 12 month period. You can do this at the time that a freeze is requested, though freezes cannot be backdated. Mariana Tek can freeze memberships but cannot extend them.

what happens if I have a monthly membership?

Nothing much will change – your monthly payment amount and scheduled payment date will stay the same and your ability to book into classes will not change.

If we cannot charge your bank card for a regualr monthly payment, the system will attempt to charge you for the next 7 days. This is known as the Grace Period. If the system still cannot charge your card at the end of this 7 day Grace Period, your booking rights will be automatically suspended until your bank card details are updated on our system.

what happens if I usually buy 5, 10 or 20 Class Cards?

All currently active Class Cards will migrate over with the correct activation and expiration date and with the correct number of Classes remaining to use.

All Class Cards purchased after 13 July will now start on the date of purchase, rather than the date of first use.

After 13 July, you can still extend any Class Cards for 30 days, as before, for a £15 admin fee. However, after 13 July, Class Cards can only be extended if the Class Card is still active, so if you request an extension before the expiration date.

Any current, unused, Class Cards will migrate over as active so may expire, unused, after migration. Fear not, we will ensure that you do not lose out on any previously purchased, but unused, Class Cards.

what happens to my bank card data?

The Good Rooms does not store any customer bank card data. Mariana Tek’s payment processing system will migrate this information in encrypted-form so that any future monthly payments will continue as currently planned.

how do No Show and Late Cancellation fees now work?

£5 No Show Fees are now automatically charged when a customer books into a class (using a 14 Day Pass, 30 Day Pass, 365 Day Pass or a Monthly Rolling contract) and then does not check-in and attend that class. The software will automatically process this fee after the class. £5 Late Cancellation fees are now charged at the time of the Late Cancellation.

what are guest passes?

Mariana Tek gives our monthly and annual members the ability to book in one free guest each month. It’s a perk of these memberships that we are thrilled to be able to offer, making it easy for you to share your Good Rooms experience with friends and family. After you have booked yourself into any class, monthly and annual members will be able to book their guest into the same class with them; they will just need to add their guest’s email address to be able to do this.

should I opt-in to marketing emails?

Yes, please! By opting-in to receive marketing emails, we are able to keep you up-to-date with all sorts of things, not just current sales and discounts. It means we can send also you information on when your Class Card may be running out, how to extend your Class Card or purchase another. Your experience at the studio will be better and we will be able to fully communciate with you about all that is going on at The Good Rooms.

what should I do if I need any help with the new software?

There may be teething problems just after migration but we hope to smooth everything out over in the coming days and weeks. We ask for your patience and understanding while we make this move.
